The Mauritanian national football team suffered a bitter thrashing from the Burundians on Sunday in the African cup of nation’s qualifiers.

Saidi Ntibazonkiza pumped into the Mauritanian net two goals in the 6th and 54th minute while Youssouf Ndayishimiye scored in the 46th minute sealing the deal for Burundians.

However, Mauritania also managed to harvest one goal after Mamadou Niass kicked into the Burundian net earlier in the 27th minute of the first half.

This match was the second leg or Sunday 15 November at Intwari Stadium.

Burundi and Mauritania are in Group E of the tough African cup of nation’s qualifiers.
