  1. There are 14,718 polling stations in Burundi
  2. There are 3 ballots this May 20: presidential, legislative, municipal. There are therefore 3 votes and 3 ballot boxes.
  3. The first count is that of the presidential ballot box (Order of the CENI of May 7, 2020).

  5. It is possible to vote without a voter card or an identity card provided that you are on the electoral list of the polling station (article 58 of the Electoral Code).
  6. Each party or independent candidate is entitled to 2 representatives in each polling station (article 42).
  7. The agents assist with all operations, including the counting, and countersign the PV with any observations (articles 42 and 43).
  8. All the minutes of a municipality are grouped together and added up by CECI, which must post a copy of the municipal report before transmission to CEPI (article 72).
