South Sudan has huge challenges in delivering health care to the population. The challenges include crippled health infrastructures, nearly collapsed public health systems, and inadequate qualified health professionals. The health system needs a major resuscitation, in addition to supporting and developing health training institutions.

According to Wikipedia, South Sudan is acknowledged to have some of the worst health indicators in the world.

But with flights grounded and countries across the world on lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Some African leaders are getting a wake-up call that they must fix their healthcare systems.

But South Sudan case is not so, a senior south Sudan government official has reportedly been evacuated to an identified country after an alleged heath setback imposed by the novel COVID-19.

Our source from the Juba International Airport explained that it was with a chartered flight that the top senior government official was evacuated from the country.
