Kenya on Tuesday recorded 139 new cases of Covid-19, raising the country’s total to 37,218, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi has confirmed.

This was from a sample of 1774 tested in the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 125 were Kenyans while 14 were foreigners.

112 of the cases are males while 27 are females. Agewise, the youngest is a four-year-old while the oldest is 82

Another 198 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country so far to 24,147.

A total of 46 of those discharged were from the home-based programme, while 152 were discharged from various health facilities.

Unfortunately, the country has lost 9 more patients to the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 659.
