Bah N’daou, was appointed president of the transition in Mali. After this designation, the political situation in Mali tends to calm down.

Bah N’daou, former defense minister in Mali, enjoys a favorable aura in the country. He is considered to be a man of principle. In fact, in the past, it is one of the personalities in Mali who, when there is a disagreement, he able to say things clearly. If he has to resign, he will. A retired soldier, he is known to be rigorous.

But he still has the head of the military junta as vice-president? That’s what makes it a bit difficult. The junta would like to have control over everything that might happen in the country. But, the population has enough confidence in Colonel-Major Bah N’Daou. The population is also waiting to see how the president of the transition will compose his government.

He has always resigned from his post in the past. The Malians appreciate the man. He is nicknamed “the big one” by his relatives because of his height (1.95 m).

Colonel-Major Bah N’Daou, is a former helicopter pilot trained in the former USSR and was aide-de-camp to General Moussa Traoré. At home, some people feel that the appointment of the president did not follow the agreed mode

It is feared that if the soldiers isolate themselves with the president, that they take actions that may push President Bah N’Daou to resign. But, as a former soldier, he will be able to find the resources to convince the military junta. We just hope that President Bah N’Daou will have a free hand to work.
