Attendees at Michael Sarpong’s girlfriend’s birthday party on Sunday, including Rayon Sports and Kiyovu Sports players, were taken into custody after failing to comply with the Coroanvirus epidemic.

Rwanda National Police spokesperson CP John Bosco Kabera told Radio Rwanda that 11 of the 13 people who attended the event had already been placed in custody.

“It simply came to our notice then. One day [in the cage] is not enough and we cannot believe that they are alive. The days of isolation from the RBC [National Medical Center] I think are being observed. And everyone else needs to hear about it, the epidemic is deadly and it’s a problem. ”

CP John Bosco Kabera said two others were still wanted while others were called by police to provide information.

News TIME reported that some of the participants in the event included Kiyovu Spots coach, Karekezi Olivier, Kimenyi Yves and Michael Sarpong who attended the police station at Rwezamenyo station from Tuesday morning, leaving at 4pm (22:00).
