Tomori, NCMP -Rwanda has recorded 4840 cases since the epidemic began with 29 deaths. This is one of the lowest in terms of the cases – death ratio in Africa after over 300,000 thousand have been tested in a country with a population of 12.3million people.

Rwanda also ranks one of the highest in Africa especially as regards the total number of people that have been tested

This favorable ratio in some quarters was attributed to the proactive steps taken by the Government of Rwanda in containing the Virus.

However, the people of Rwanda have been advised not to rest and capitalize on the recorded success yet as the number of cases is yet to peak. Once that happens, the number of positive cases will start to decline.

The success rate can also be attributed to the adherence of the people of Rwanda to the precautionary measures as stipulated by WHO.
