The staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took a written examination to test their capability in handling diplomatic issues as part of reforms in the diplomatic arena in the country.

The ministry further mentioned that the aim of the evaluation scheme is not for promotion as it has been circulated in the media, but the whole exercise is aimed at the assessment of the staff skills and also trying to help the young diplomats to see what areas of weakness that the ministry can assist them with.

Amb. Moses Akol Ajawin

Chief invigilator and the DG for International Cooperation, Amb. Moses Akol Ajawin also mentioned that the assessment is been carried out by the ministry will make it easy for Norway and UNDP to come in and assist the ministry in accordance with their strategic plan which is now being developed by the Ministry.

Amb. Alier Deng Ruai

According to Amb. Alier Deng Ruai, the written examination is really timely and it will allow the young diplomats to key into the strategic plan being developed by the ministry.
