A Mandera bound bus is reported to have been attacked by Al-Shabaab militants near Kutulo area.

Several people are reported to have sustained injuries when the attack happened on the bus that was heading to Mandera from Nairobi.

More details into the attack are yet to be revealed as police on the ground noted to have been briefed on the matter.

The news comes barely a month after three Al-Shabaab militants died when an IED exploded as they tried to set up.

Several others sustained injuries in attack aiming security forces maintaining peace in the volatile areas of Garissa.

Many soldiers and peacekeepers have met their deaths through explosives, and they have subsequently killed many militants hiding in such areas.
