The fire which started from an AC unit has burnt to ashes all on air and production studios at 10 PM according to one of the station’s staff.
Abyei 102.3 FM radio station was officially launched earlier this month. It went on air in March, but the official opening delayed due to COVID-19.
The station is based in Agok town, and it broadcast within a radius of 60 KM. Abyei FM is being managed by a local NGO, Abyei information and Radio Service – AIRS with support from Internrews South Sudan.
