Achuei to meet with Juba teaching hospital departmental heads to salvage the hospital from collapsing.

The Minister of Health, Elizabeth Achuei, has voiced significant worries about complaints aired by the Juba Teaching Facility heads of departments, who urged for the formation of interim management to prevent the hospital from collapsing.
Dr. Kedianda Chong, who is the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and the Director of International Health, said Achuei has asked the disgruntled employees to name three people for her to act on as soon as feasible.
On Friday, the heads of departments and leading specialists at the hospital addressed a position paper to Achuei warning that the country’s major referral health institution will collapse should she fail to select the temporary director-general and deputy within a week.
“Firstly, we beg you, Honorable Minister, to designate a care-taking administration for the hospital that will consist of a director-general and a deputy director-general within a week to run the hospital to prevent a complete collapse of the institution, ” they said in a statement.
“Failure to solve this administrative vacuum would atomically lower Juba Teaching Hospital from the status of a tertiary institution to that of a primary healthcare facility owing to the way in which the hospital is now managed, they warned.
But Dr. Kediande stated, “The letter was sent to the minister, and the minister instructed the consultants to go, brainstorm, and the minister would be meeting with them either on Wednesday or Thursday.”
“The minister also instructed them that this is a collective obligation [thus, they should], choose three names and submit them so that she would select one of them and appoint,” he continued.
According to a report published by the City Review media outlet, Dr. Kediandeb claimed that Juba Teaching Hospital had been running with no head after the director-general was appointed by the minister but abandoned his post after Abdelbagi asked Dr. Majur to restructure the hospital’s administration.
He claimed that the modifications were done without Achuei’s knowledge while she was on a mission and that when she came back she revoked the adjustments, leaving the hospital without a director-general.
At the time of this, Dr. Majur indicated that the alterations were done to rescue the situation since people were dying, and they could not wait till Achuei arrived.
