Following claims of reckless handling of sorghum that featured in an article recently published by Northern corridor Morning Post, in which Kang and a few others were alleged to have mismanaged the subsidies, Kang Deng admitted that indeed the subsidies are being mishandled by greedy former Post holders.
As the scandal, Kang, with the cooperation of other respective Director Generals in various state ministries resolved to ‘pursue’ such people and place them behind bars. This new development came to be when CID personnel heeded the resolution by arresting a few unlucky individuals instead of all those being suspected over the scam, a total of eight officeholders.
When asked by reliable sources to comment over the detention of Mr. John Akuei Lony, the Former Commissioner of Ariakriak County, Dominic Kang blamed CID personnel for being drastic in taking action to place people behind bars. He has since taken himself into seclusion by switching off his cell phones for fear of responding to any questions that may get him into deeper trouble.
Kang also claimed to have abstained from his official duties and locked himself up in Aweil Grand Hotel room which has recently become his prestigious residence. Kang’s self-enrichment has become a popular theme of trivial conversations in town, validated largely by his conduct and judgment when the story broke.
