In a notable event, the government of Ruweng Administrative Area conducted a solemn swearing-in ceremony for the members of the RAA’s Legislative Assembly.
The ceremony, held in the RAA headquarters, was presided over by H.E. Stephano Wieu de Mialek, the esteemed Chief Administrator of RAA.
Expressing gratitude and appreciation, Chief Administrator Mialek extended his acknowledgements to H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, the President of the Republic of South Sudan, for the significant milestone achieved in the appointment of the Legislative Assembly members in RAA.
He congratulated the newly appointed Members of Parliament (MPs) on their well-deserved positions and commended their presence at the ceremony and willingness to fulfil their duties by taking the oath of office.
During his address, Chief Administrator Mialek emphasized the essential role of the sworn-in members of the Legislative Assembly in safeguarding the rights of the people and ensuring their socio-economic and political transformation.
