China’s delegate asks for efforts to improve political procedure in South Sudan

On Wednesday, Mar. 3 a Chinese delegate asked for hard work to improve the political procedure in South Sudan.
Zhang Jun, China’s permanent envoy to the United Nations stated that the present year indicates the 10th anniversary of the establishment of South Sudan.
Throughout the last 10 years, the South Sudanese have defeated many obstacles and made new advancements in nation-building. Currently, the condition in South Sudan shows both opportunities and challenges.
He said to the Security Council that there is a necessity to keep the upbeat momentum of the political procedure.
For some time now, the truce in South Sudan has been maintained. And the realization of the Revitalized Agreement has made upbeat progress on major issues, such as administration formation and meeting of governors.
He noted that China hails this progress.
