Clash Between Cirilo Rebels, SSPDF, And NSS; 13 Government Soldiers Allegedly Lose Lives

There was an outbreak of a clash between the joint force of the SSPDF and the National Security Service (NSS) with the Cirilo rebels. The rebels on Tuesday came out as claimed that they had killed about 13 government soldiers over launching an attack on their base in Mundri East.
News reaching NCMP has it that the whole situation was triggered off by a government forces convoy leading to fighting thus resulting in the killing of the soldiers including the alleged traitors. The two vechicles too, are said to have been destroyed in action plus capturing ammunition.
Since December 2013, South Sudan and its armed forces the former Sudan People’s Liberation Army(SPLA) have been involved in parallel non-international armed conflicts with dissident South Sudan armed forces.
The 2015 August revitalized peace agreement ultimately failed and the non-international armed conflicts continue despite the signing of the agreement in 2018.
