Covid: 1,504 new infections reported in Kenya

In the previous 24 hours, Kenya has reported 1,504 new cases of COVID-19 from 4,636 samples analyzed.
The positive rating has dipped to 32.4 percent, down from 37.6 percent the day before.
Kenyans account for 1,293 of the new illnesses, while foreigners account for 211. The youngest instance is three months old, while the oldest is 95.
The additional infections bring the overall number of confirmed cases in the nation to 285,654.
Nairobi has 739 infections, Siaya has 97, Nakuru has 88, Kiambu has 69, Uasin Gishu has 50, Migori has 47, Murang’a has 40, Garissa has 38, Mombasa has 34, Nyeri has 29, Machakos has 29, Embu has 28, Kakamega has 28, Kilifi has 20, Nyandarua has 20, Kisumu has 18, Kajiado has 17, Kwale has 12, Homa Bay
At the same time, the Ministry of Health said that 401 persons had recovered from the sickness, with 298 coming from a home-based isolation and care program and 103 from different health institutions around the nation.
The overall number of recoveries throughout the nation is currently 250,727, while the number of fatalities remains at 5,364, with no deaths recorded in the previous 24 hours.
According to the ministry, 752 people are now hospitalized to different health institutions around the nation, while 21,033 are enrolled in the home-based isolation and care program. Thirty-seven patients are in the intensive care unit, with 19 on ventilatory support and 18 on supplemental oxygen.
In addition, 174 patients are on supplementary oxygen, with 158 of them in general wards. The High Dependency Unit is home to sixteen patients (HDU).
