The international basketball organization (FIBA) has confirmed June 13 to 18 as the dates for the U-18 Zone V Afro Basket qualifications to be contested in Kampala, Uganda.
Countries who are slated to take part in the qualifiers are: Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Tanzania.
It was initially thought that Egypt would host the tournament, however FIBA has given the hosting rights to Uganda.
Last Monday, Rwanda’s U-18 national teams in the boys’ and girls’ divisions began preparations for the U-18 Zone V Afro Basket qualifiers.
