Government Of Central Equatoria State Condemns The Kajo-Keji County Massacre, Calls It Barbaric

The state administration, led by H.E. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has condemned the callous and systematic massacre of innocent residents in the harshest terms imaginable.
Dr. Andruga Mabe Savario stated in a statement released by the ministry of information and communication on February 2nd, 2023, that the people and government of Central Equatoria State awoke to the saddest news of the renewed bleeding of Kajo-Keji County following the massacre of innocent unarmed civilians at Likamerok Boma in Lire Payam.
“The cattle herders carried out a barbarous house-to-house murder of defenseless citizens as a pure vengeance attack after an unknown armed gang invaded their encampment in a hit-and-run operation that resulted in the death of both cow herders and their animals,” according to a portion of the statement.
The minister of information extends his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the grieving families of the victims of the tragic annihilation, as well as the inhabitants of Kajo-Keji County and Central Equatoria in general.
Governor Adil, for his part, urges the victims to be calm, noting that security services are currently in full control of the situation and trying to capture the perpetrators of the horrible crime.
He also reiterates his government’s determination to carry out the president’s directives for the unconditional repatriation of the troublesome armed livestock herders to their home territories.
