Governor of Central Equatoria State Attends Priestly Ordination Ceremony in Yei River County

On Friday, March 24th, 2023, the Governor of Central Equatoria State, H.E Emmanuel Adil Anthony, along with Cabinet members, legislators, and other key government officials, traveled to Yei River County on the invitation of the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
The purpose of the visit was to attend the priestly ordination of Rev. Deacon Justin Salah Martin Juma, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish-Lutaya, under the guidance of Bishop Rt. Rev. Alex Lodiong Sakor.
The Governor was seen off by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Sarah Nene, and other Cabinet members at the Juba International Airport before departing for Yei.
Upon arrival, he was warmly received by County authorities and briefed on the general security situation by the County Commissioner, Hon. Aggrey Cyrus, who reported that the situation was relatively calm.
The visit is part of a two-day working visit by Governor Emmanuel to the area, during which he is expected to engage with various stakeholders to fast-track sustainable peace and development in the region.
