The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) through their homicide detectives have made a step into unveiling the reason behind the inhumane murder of 5 members of a family in Kiambu County.
Through their social media accounts on Saturday night, the DCI revealed that the key suspect in the killing of the five family members led detectives to a spot where various murder weapons and exhibits had been hidden.

“Homicide Detectives have made a major breakthrough in unraveling the puzzle surrounding the Kiambu killings, that left 5 people dead a few days ago. This afternoon, the prime suspect in the murder of 22-year-old Lawrence Simon Warunge, has led detectives to the spot where he disposed the murder weapons and other key exhibits at a pit latrine in Mai Mahiu,” said the DCI.
The items recovered will be subjected to a forensic analysis to shed more light into who and why those five members of the same family were killed.
Before his arrest, Lawrence who happens to be the eldest son in the family, disappeared from school, one of the private universities.
Many thought he was being hunted to be murdered too, only for the DCI to reveal that he was a prime suspect in the murder.
He was arrested today in the morning at Lower Kabete in Kiambu County
