In Uror County, around 400 cows were rustled.

More than 400 cows were taken during a raid by a gang of armed men in Pathai Payam on Friday, according to authorities in Jonglei State’s Uror County.
Tang Chatim, the county commissioner, revealed in a Radio Tamazuj broadcast viewed by NCMP that the event happened when the herders were waylaid on their way back from grazing areas and that the raiders had been following them since Friday.
“The 435 animals seized belonged to seven livestock camps in Pathai Payam’s Pakam region.” As we speak, our youth who chased the assailants to GPAA has not returned since Friday. Although our youth were overwhelmed, no one was murdered during the event, “he stated.
The county police inspector, Gatbel Machar, said that authorities were unable to assist quickly since the event happened outside of town, but that the assailants are being sought so that the animals may be reclaimed.
Last week, GPAA information minister Jay Adingora said that because of limited communication and road network, he could neither confirm nor deny their youth participation in assaults in Jonglei State.
