Juba Teaching Hospital receives medical supplies from China.

The People’s Republic of China has provided a variety of medical items to Juba Teaching Hospital to help the country’s primary health institution expand its services.
The Director-General of Juba Teaching Hospital accepted the contribution valued at $160,000 US dollars.
Medical supplies will be used to improve the hospital’s medical conditions, according to South Sudan’s Minister of Health, Dr. Yolanda Awel Juach.
“These products will alleviate some of the strain on Juba Teaching Hospital due to the city’s population,” Yolanda said.
The health minister said she respects the government of South Sudan’s many contacts with the Chinese government. She noted that this collaboration would be beneficial as we continue with additional initiatives.
Hua Ning, China’s Ambassador to South Sudan, stated that the contribution includes medical equipment and several other items. The ambassador also added that the gesture represents China’s long-standing friendship and collaboration with South Sudan.
Hua Ning has committed to his government’s assistance in continuing to provide medical care to the people of South Sudan.
A few months ago, a Chinese medical team sent medical supplies to Rumbek State Hospital to expand the area’s medical services. China has already sent nine batches of medical personnel to Juba over the years.
The crews have been giving medical supplies to Juba Teaching Hospital and several South Sudanese provincial hospitals.
