Kiir flew to the United Arab Emirates to attend the Dubai Expo.

At the invitation of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic, flew out today (Friday, 18th February 2022) to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend the Dubai Expo.
In his three-day working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Kiir is expected to participate in Dubai Expo 2020, as well as hold bilateral talks with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates.
As part of this visit, President Salva Kiir Mayardit is accompanied by a delegation that includes a Presidential Advisor on Security Affairs – Hon. Tut Gatluak Manime, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Hon. Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Mayiik Ayii Deng, Minister of Finance and Planning Hon. Agak Achuil Lual, Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage, Hon. Nadia Arop Dudi Mayom, Minister of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism, Hon. Rizik Zackariah Hassan, Director General of the General Intelligence Bureau, and Gen. Simon Yien Makuac.
The President was seen off at Juba International Airport by the First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny and a number of government officials.
