Kiir preaches unity among government agencies, urging them to abandon partisanship in carrying out their responsibilities.

President Salva Kiir has mandated that all government agencies operate in unison, regardless of party affiliation.
He said that the primary objective of the transitional administration of national unity is to deliver services and encourage economic development across the country.
“We are all working toward the same goal,” Kiir said. “You have been tasked with the responsibility of delivering services to the populace.”
The President warned federal workers against insubordination and disrespect for the views or orders of colleagues from different political parties.
“If another party member says something and I refuse to work on the basis of [affiliation], here is where we get into trouble.”
The current government is made up of appointees from the parties who signed the revived peace agreement in 2018.
It is composed of former members of the previous transitional government, the SPLM-IO, the Opposition Alliance, and former prisoners.
The executive and legislative branches of government are led by the main parties to the peace agreement.
President Kiir emphasised the importance of government employees working in unison and cooperation during his Tuesday State House address.
“The public does not care who delivers services; they take them regardless,” he said.
Additionally, the President said that there is no time to waste when it comes to delivering public services.
“We are wasting time trying to achieve development because the promises we made to our people have not been kept. We want to ensure that this does not happen again,” he said.
There have been administrative conflicts amongst state government workers in recent months.
