Kiir returned to Juba after a 3-day working visit to South Africa

President Salva Kiir Mayardit returned home, concluding a fruitful three-day working visit to the Republic of South Africa.

According to the Facebook page of the presdiency, President Salva Kiir held extensive talks with President Cyril Ramaphosa on a number of issues pertaining to the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement and ways to strengthen and deepen the bilateral relations between South Sudan and South Africa.

The two leaders noting the potential opportunities of cooperation between South Sudan and South Africa, further agreed to work to develop partnership in the trade and investment sectors as well as to the peace and stability in the Republic of South Sudan.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit high-level delegation to South Africa included the Minister of Presidential Affairs Hon. Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Beatrice Khamisa Wani and the Executive Director in the Office of the President, Hon. James Deng Wal.
