The majority of the accidents occurred in Gudele, Kator, Munuki, and other heavily populated locations.
Over 200 accident incidents involving motorcycles and vehicles resulted in fatalities.
According to National Police Spokesperson Major General Daniel Justin.
During the Christmas and New Year festivities in Juba, four people were killed in over 200 road traffic incidents registered by the police.
Two people were killed along the Juba-Bor Road, while two more were killed in the Gudele residential neighborhood.
According to Daniel Justin, the majority of accidents are caused by those who are driving or riding while under the influence of alcohol.
Those wounded are being treated at several hospitals, according to reports.
“This morning we reported one traffic accident in Gudele in which we lost a young guy of 16 years old, and we have apprehended the culprit,” Major General Daniel stated.
“We’ve been making daily reports since the 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th, and 31st of December.” More than 200 road accidents have been reported in Juba alone.
“There is no fatality; it just causes harm to the motorbikes that collide.” But the accident on Bor Road was a tragedy since we lost two persons, one of them was a police officer.”
