Major General Lul Ruai Koang, the Director for Defense Media & Publicity who also serves as the SSPDF Spokesperson at SSPDF GHQs-Bilpam, has made a declaration that the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) shall consolidate 139 Generals into its ranks.
From the aforementioned count, 106 Major Generals and Brigadier Generals, with an unidentified number, are designated to come from SPLM/SPLA-IO while 33 are to come from SSOA.
As per the spokeswoman, granting positions to the SSPDF’s Opposition Commander is to pave the way for the deployment of the NUF.
“It is crucial to communicate to the people of South Sudan and the surrounding area that the SSPDF Commander of Defense Forces is to create a committee to put forth a budget to aid in the NUF deployment,” he noted.
According to the allocation agreement, the SSPDF will elect an undisclosed number of Major Generals and Brigadier Generals to finalize the long-awaited unification of the second level of unified command.
Likewise, Gen. Koang mentioned that troops will be deployed to all 18 training facilities across the country to get the soldiers ready for deployment.
