Notorious gangs apprehended by Security forces in Kapoeta.

Security officers apprehended members of a renowned gang that terrorized passengers along the Torit-Kapoeta and Kapoeta Narus Highways in a sting operation.
Authorities in Kapoeta report a huge increase in road robbery, looting, and murders along several stretches of the highway, most notably Camp 15-Kapoeta and Kapoeta-Narus.
Throughout the operation, security agents seized guns, computers, mobile phones, and clothing from gang members.
According to the administration, “Operations Secure the Highway” was launched to cleanse the state of criminals.
According to the government, the organization is responsible for all road ambushes, lootings, and murders along the Highway.
Maj. Gen. Adil Juma, the Commissioner of Police in Kapoeta, said they are committed to apprehend all offenders in order to make the roads and settlements safer for the populace.
Elia Lokuda, Mayor of Kapoeta Municipal Council, said that security personnel have been placed on high alert to crackdown on criminals along the Highway.
Lokuda wants residents to work with police to put a stop to criminal activity in the region.
According to the Mayor, the existence of peace and stability in a region promotes growth and the provision of essential social services to the populace.
Humanitarian organizations working in the region claim to have been victimized by thieves who have always plundered their stuff along the highways.
They claim they have been unable to function inside Kapoeta town due to the scenario.
Another group that has been impacted is highway drivers. According to the head of the Kapoeta Drivers Union, 22 of his colleagues had been slain along the Highway.
According to the region’s chief security commander, the troops are under strict orders to safeguard the safety of travelers utilizing the Torit-Kapoeta and Kapoeta-Narus Highways.
