President of the FP-ICGLR Presents Resolutions of Last Great Lakes Region Conference To Angola’s President

The President of the Forum of Parliaments of the Members States of the International Conference of the Great Lakes Region (FP-ICGLR), yesterday met His Excellency, President of the Republic of Angola, H.E. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço at the state house.
The president confirms presenting the resolutions and declaration of the last plenary session of the forum to His Excellency, President João who doubles as the sitting head of the summit of the Great Lakes Region.
He further disclosed the contents of the last plenary meeting in Juba as issues in relation to peace, security, and developments in member states of the Great Lake Region.
“During that meeting, we made a number of decisions and resolutions, which we have presented this evening to H.E. the President. Since there are conflicts in the D.R.C, Sudan, and some parts of the Republic of South Sudan.
FP-ICGLR president also said that they had made the resolution on the issue of parliamentary diplomacy amongst the region’s parliaments which the summit’s Chairman will later present to the heads of State.
Asides from being briefed on the hostilities in Sudan and challenges faced by people in the region, the resolutions presented to the Chairman include the views and demands of the Parliamentarians regarding the issues of security, peace, and development in the region.
