Primary school examinations in South Sudan will begin on February 14th.

The national education minister of South Sudan stated on Thursday that the 2021 Primary Leaving Examinations would commence on February 14th.
In Juba, Minister Awut Deng Achuil spoke to the press.
“On behalf of the South Sudan National Examination Council, I would like to inform candidates, parents, and all stakeholders that all processes for the 2021 certificate of primary education examination have been put in place, and the examination administration date has been set,” Minister Awut stated. “The tests begin on Monday, February 14th, 2022, and finish on Friday, February 18th, 2022.”
According to Awut, over 50,000 applicants will take the exams throughout the country.
“Specifically, 53,220 individuals have enrolled for the tests, including 31,232 men and 21,988 females,” she noted.
The minister also asked invigilators, security personnel, and police officers to ensure security and examination rules during the tests.
“I would also want to tell the supervisors, invigilators, security, and police that the integrity of the exams procedures is maintained during the national examinations exercise.” “You should play a key role in assisting the examination council in maintaining security and conducting exams in a fair and acceptable way that permits applicants to sit for tests in a suitable atmosphere,” she recommended.
Concerned about the teachers’ salaries in Central Equatoria State (CES), the minister said that the state government must pay its instructors.
“The teachers have rights, and the state government must pay them entirely.” “There is nothing to discuss here; we paid them in full, and the state should seek for whatever money to repay this obligation,” she said.
