Rumbek State Hospital administrators are requesting that both outpatients and inpatients carry their own medications in order to be treated in Rumbek.

In a Facebook post viewed by NCMP, Dr. Hakim Makuer Gol revealed in a Facebook post that they got the last cargo of pharmaceuticals in November 2021, but it was not sufficient for the populace.

Most of the expectant moms at Rumbek hospital are suffering from threatening abortions; some do have miscarriages while others deliver kids dead owing to poor and insufficient medicine since there are some other women with underlying conditions like HIV, syphilis, and malaria.

The medications in Rumbek’s market pharmacies are highly pricey. Many activists inside the state encouraged the government and international health partners to promptly send medications to Rumbek hospital to save the patients in need of treatment.
