Rwandan minister placed under house arrest.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame has suspended his minister of youth and culture, according to officials.
The suspension of Edouard Bamporiki was the consequence of “matters of accountability under investigation,” according to a statement from the prime minister’s office.
He has also been placed under house arrest while being probed for “severe cases of corruption,” according to a tweet from the Rwanda Investigation Bureau.
Mr Bamporiki, 39, was a staunch admirer of President Kagame and the ruling party earlier.
He is well-known on social media and is seen as a divisive figure in some circles.
The poet, film producer, and well-known radio drama actor has been in the government since 2019 and was a former member of parliament.
He has yet to respond to the corruption charges leveled against him.
