Singaita FM reopens after a week-long closure by authorities.

After a week of closure, authorities in Kapoeta Town, Eastern Equatoria State, have reopened Singaita FM.
The station was shuttered by the National Security in the region on Friday, after an order from the state’s minister of information.
The Radio Community manages Singaita 88.3 FM, one of South Sudan’s radio stations.
According to reports, representatives of national security entered the station and told the presenter who was reading the news to stop.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Singaita FM, the station was shuttered after one of its journalists allegedly failed to attend a state government function.
According to Chris Marol, the station was reopened this morning by security personnel after a series of conversations with the state administration.
Marol spoke in an Eye Radio report seen by NCMP from Kapoeta Town this morning.
“We met with the officials in Eastern Equatoria State this week and came to an agreement.” “They arrived this morning and reactivated the station,” Chris reported from Kapoeta.
I also want to visit Torit next week to talk with the authorities, and then we will finish the concerns that they presented.’
