South Sudan confirmed 248 new cases of COVID-19

A total of 248 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed between Wednesday and Thursday, bringing the cumulative number of infections in South Sudan to 7,597, according to the latest report from the national ministry of health.
South Sudan has conducted a total of 107646 samples since the index case was reported in April last year.
The total number of deaths has reached 90, after another 3 fatalities occurred over the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health is urging the public to strictly practice social distancing, wearing of facemask, handwashing, or sanitizing.
Nine severe cases are admitted to the Infectious Disease Unit in Juba.
Cases known to have recovered are 4,107.
