South Sudan Football Association Calls for Academy Registrations for Youth Leagues

The South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) announced an invitation to all academies in Juba and neighboring areas to register for participation in upcoming youth leagues. This move comes as part of the Youth Office’s efforts to promote and develop football talent in the country.

The SSFA’s Youth Office, in collaboration with the Technical Department and Board Members, has designed an application form for academies interested in participating in the leagues. The registration process is set to begin on November 1st, 2023, with a deadline of November 10th, 2023.

The announcement specifically highlights three significant events:

1. Inaugural U-17 league

2. Inaugural U-20 league

3. Other age categories including U-15, U-18, and U-23

The highly anticipated U-17 league is scheduled to kick off on November 15th, 2023. While encouraging new academy registrations, the SSFA is also keen on working with existing academies that are already registered with the association.

Victor Lawrence Lual, the Secretary General of the South Sudan Football Association, emphasized the importance of youth development in football and expressed gratitude to all academies and stakeholders for their cooperation.

Football enthusiasts and academy directors are urged to collect the application forms from the SSFA’s Youth Office in order to complete the registration process. The SSFA aims to create a platform where young talents can showcase their skills and contribute to the growth of football in South Sudan.
