SPLM deputy information secretary, Deng Mading dies from COVID-19.

After fighting the sickness for more than a week in the capital, Juba, an SPLM deputy secretary for information died of coronavirus.

The late’s eldest son Mading Deng said in a Radio Tamazuj editorial sighted by NCMP this morning that Deng Mading Mijak died while seeking treatment at a hospital in Juba.

“When my father planned to fly to Khartoum, he tested positive for Coronavirus.” As a result, when he tested positive for Covid-19, he was unable to go,” Deng said.

“My father’s health condition deteriorated at home,” he continued. So he had to be brought to the hospital yesterday, where he died.”

Deng Mading, a senior member of President Salva Kiir’s Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), was born in Abyei.
