The leadership of students at Dr. John Garang University has been suspended.

The Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology administration dismissed the students’ union leadership on Thursday due to suspected “mismanagement of the organization’s funds.”
Last Monday, a group of students accused their guild president of misappropriating SSP 900,000.
The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Ngor Lual, acknowledged the decision and stated the case was being handled administratively.
“This is basically university-controlled material that has not escaped our control.
We have procedures in place to investigate any suspected theft of union money. “No way,” he responded.
The students’ union’s president, Ajith Solomon, denied misappropriating the union’s funds.
“Sure, those charges exist. “We call them accusations because until the audit is done, you might claim the money were misused, and misuse implies they were spent for something they were not meant for,” he stated.
