The oil pre-sale: Global economic recession hit South Sudan unprepared.

The current price trend is symptomatic of a potential economic disaster that will undoubtedly worsen in the following months.
Worse, the oil price drop and global economic collapse are making life tough for the poor and placing a lot of strain on youths, worsening the country’s instability. The expense of living has risen dramatically. Fuel and other necessary items costs have also risen.
Despite this, civil servants and security personnel have yet to receive their January payments for 2022!
What does this government’s future hold? Indeed, a company (or a government) that distributes net cash to its clique members will not be able to develop sustainably or increase the well-being of its residents on the perimeter!
If South Sudanese societies were more prosperous, the Juba-based dictatorship would have been ousted by a popular uprising, similar to how the Sudanese Professionals Association ousted President El Bashir Khartoum’s regime!
No respectable government could engage in this nefarious oil presale business and hope to remain in power.
The oil presale is a scary debt that requires dethronement since the J1 government is more of a liability to the people of South Sudan than an asset.
