The East African government has completed the legal procedures for the procurement of two million Johnson & Johnson vaccinations through the Africa Export-Import Bank and the African Union, Health Minister Ruth Aceng said earlier this month.
It is also at various stages of obtaining dosages from Cuba, Russia, China, and the United Kingdom, she added.
Only 1.14 million doses have been distributed to the nation so far through the Covax facility and the Indian government.
