Unity State Governor visits South Sudanese returnees, pledges government support for relief assistance.

On Wednesday, Joseph Manytuil Wejang, Governor of Unity State, paid a solidarity visit to South Sudanese returnees who arrived in the state through Renk County in Upper Nile State, via river transport.
The returnees have been camped at Rubkona County’s headquarters, facing intolerable and horrible conditions during their journey.
Manytuil expressed concern about the challenges they had faced and the loss of their properties, with rampant cases of rape being reported.
Despite these difficulties, Manytuil acknowledged the determination of the returnees to reach home and affirmed the commitment of the State government to work hand in hand with international organizations to provide the necessary relief assistance to support their resettlement.
The visit by the Governor is a crucial step in ensuring that South Sudanese returnees are supported in their resettlement efforts, as they seek to rebuild their lives and start anew in their home country.
