Yambio Star FC is battle-ready for the South Sudan National Cup in Juba.

Yambio Star Football Club had their last training session in Yambio on Thursday morning before traveling for Juba, where they will compete in the South Sudan National Cup.
Yambio Star of Zone Two will meet Malakia FC of Torit on January 22nd at Buluk Training Center, with the return leg on January 25th, 2022.
Daniel Fatur, the Head Coach of Yambio Star Fc, said in a TK Sports article obtained by NCMP that he has been preparing his players for the last month and that they are ready to battle against other clubs in the country.
“We have done the required preparation as a squad, and we are promising our supporters that we are going to Juba to compete, not just to participate.” We have brought in new players, such as Thomas Zaizai from Cobra Fc, who brings a wealth of experience to the club.” Daniel said.
Coach Daniel said that the club’s Board of Directors has mobilized the necessary resources to ensure the players’ well-being during the competition in Juba.
Yambio Star FC won the Yambio LFA South Sudan Cup on October 10, 2021, after defeating Al Wehida 2-1. In representing Yambio LFA in the national SSD-Cup, they are joined by Nasiry FC of Mundri.
In Zone Two, Nasiry will face Jebel Koteen of Kapoeta.
The South Sudan National Cup is a men’s domestic South Sudanese football knockout tournament held each year.
The South Sudan Football Association organized the cup, which started in 2012, not long after South Sudan obtained independence. With two championships, Al-Malakia FC is the most successful club in South Sudan National Cup history. The cup was played by nine teams in the most recent edition.
